About The Position

This Candidate Pool is specifically for roles on various teams looking for students and new grads with a focus in finance, commerce, marketing & communications, project management, technology, analytics or related skills and career interests. At Export Development Canada (EDC), we empower Canadian businesses to succeed globally. As a Canadian financial Crown corporation, owned by the federal government, we offer innovative financial solutions and expert insights to help businesses explore new markets, mitigate risks, and achieve growth. The EDC branch office in Singapore serves as a hub for the Indo-Pacific region. The branch allows us to more effectively support our Asian and Canadian customers as they go, grow and succeed internationally. Our student and new grad opportunities include internships and co-op programs, all designed to give your career a strong start. Internships begin at six months in length and may be extended for an additional six months or more, depending on business needs. Roles are full time. Our program is ideal for early career professionals who are new grads that have completed their courses within the past year, as well as students in their current program of study. Internships in our programme may be eligible for academic credit, depending on your university’s requirements. The opportunity to build cross-functional professional networks, identify and pursue opportunities for improvement and innovation, and continuously learn and grow through coaching and mentoring from professionals throughout EDC. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program (eligible for up to one year after completion of studies).
  • Available for 6 months or more - While roles will be available for 6-month terms, preference will be given to candidates with availability that extends.
  • Previous work term experience related to their field of study
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter, good organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Enthusiasm to tackle any task, whether menial or complex
  • Fluent in English (mandatory)
  • Proficiency in at least one Asian language (Mandarin, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesian, Malay, Korean, Thai, Tagalog, or Vietnamese) (mandatory)
  • Able to work legally in Singapore at the time of application

  • Preference will be given to candidates with availability that extends beyond 6 months.
