Student Internship 2026
About The Position
Mountain Lakes Services is seeking motivated, energetic students aged 16-18 who have not yet entered college for a summer work opportunity. This 8-week internship program, running from July 6, 2026, to August 28, 2026, offers on-the-job experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as professional development to prepare students for the workforce. Internship opportunities are available throughout Essex County. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour, with hours available ranging from 10 to 40 per week. Support positions are available in Residential Services, Day Habilitation Services, and Community and Employment Services.
Requirements
- Must be a local youth aged 16-18 years old.
- Must not have yet entered college.
- Must be available for the 8-week program from July 6, 2026, to August 28, 2026.
