Student Internship - Technology Systems
About The Position
Wiley|Wilson is seeking a paid summer 2027 Technology Systems intern for its Richmond, VA office. This internship offers the opportunity to work with experienced designers on real-world projects related to the technology infrastructure in modern buildings. The Technology Systems team focuses on designing physical infrastructure components for client data networks, including structured cabling (e.g., Category 6A), fiber infrastructure, pathway systems (e.g., cable tray and conduit), electronic security systems (e.g., access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance), and audiovisual systems (e.g., conference room connectivity, audio systems). Interns will gain hands-on experience with the design process, assist with system layouts and project documentation, learn Revit, and understand how Technology Systems design is coordinated with other architectural and engineering disciplines.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program focused on information technology, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Completion of at least your second year by summer 2027.
- Interest in technology systems and building design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative mindset.
Nice To Haves
- Revit experience is preferred but not required.
