About The Position

The Information Technology Services Internship Program is designed for early career professionals to transform scholastic learnings into hands-on experiences under the guidance of a manager and mentor. Interns will increase their technical and professional acumen by working independently and/or on a team to deliver critical initiatives and projects that support the technology needs of the healthcare system. HHC Information Technology Services anticipates potential openings in various areas including Infrastructure & Networks, Cloud, Telephony, Cybersecurity, Service, Clinical & Bio Medical, Applications, Data Analytics, Digital, and Project Management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Currently enrolled in an accredited post High School program
• Full time availability (Monday-Friday, ~40 hours)
• Ability to work onsite (Farmington, CT | free parking or other HHC locations)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Vaccinated (Flu)

Nice To Haves

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Database Management or other technology related field
• Previous relevant Technology internship or industry experience

Responsibilities

• Support systems, networks, software
• Support transition to and use of cloud resources
• Support telephone, Voice over IP
• Protect networks from unauthorized access
• Assist internal users with technical issues
• Engage in the integration of medical devices (MRI, IV pumps, etc.)
• Provide Business Analyst support to clinical/non-clinical applications
• Support the Google healthcare data engine integration
• Engage in design thinking, human centered design, mobile apps development
• Utilize PMI and Agile methodologies in support of technical projects
