About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking motivated interns to join their team in various areas of interest including Public Health, Finance, Library Sciences, Health Administration, Operations/Engineering, IT, and HR. This is an unpaid internship designed to provide hands-on learning experiences aligned with the intern's field of study. The internship is governed by an agreement between UAMS and the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, emphasizing a shared commitment to education and workforce development. Interns will gain practical experience while adhering to UAMS policies, including patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. UAMS is committed to providing quality education and workforce development opportunities. Interns are not employees and are not entitled to compensation or benefits. This program complies with FERPA and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student meeting eligibility criteria.
• Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Successful applicants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or have an approved medical or religious exemption on file.
