About The Position

This internship offers a unique work experience and engaging assignments. We are currently recruiting for Summer 2027 internship opportunities in the field of computer science. The Internship Program is a 10-12 week program that offers challenging assignments, projects, and career development workshops to enhance your professional growth. You will also earn a competitive salary based on your discipline and academic class status. Some of your tasks may include researching, designing, developing, and modifying mobile applications, enterprise-wide systems and other applications software using languages and infrastructures such as .Net, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, JQuery, ReactJS, NodeJS, SAPUI5, ABAP, and HTML5. The 2027 intern program is scheduled to start on May 24, 2027 and conclude on July 29, 2027.

Requirements

Working toward or have completed a degree in computer science or information technology.
Students who have graduated are eligible up to two years post-graduation.
Completed (at a minimum) your sophomore year in college.
Overall GPA (grade point average) of 2.8/4.0 or above.
United States Citizen.
A completed online application is required.

Failure to attach a resume and transcript will eliminate you from the selection process.
Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
This position may be categorized as a “designated position” identified by 10 C.F.R. Part 709, requiring successful completion of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation that may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
Candidates accepting a job offer will be required to pass a pre-placement physical, drug screening and background investigation.
As an employee, you may be required to receive and maintain a security clearance from the United States Department of Energy in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information or matter.
U.S. citizenship is a requirement for security clearance applicants.
