Under the supervision of the Lab Director/Principal Investigator, the student intern will support a study entitled, “Stepped Care for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Study” (STEPPS) which aims to develop a stepped care treatment model for PTSD that spans primary care and psychiatry settings. The student intern will support the study in multiple ways, including recruitment of individuals with PTSD, pre-screening/scheduling, data collection through interviews, surveys, and electronic medical record data extraction, and coordination of study visits and meetings associated with conduct of a clinical trial study. The student intern will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across primary care and psychiatry. There will also be opportunities to collaborate on posters and papers, if interested. Students will gain exposure to a range of clinical research activities, including data collection using REDCap, administration of clinical assessments with patients and documentation in the electronic medical record, communication and collaboration with clinicians, monitoring participant engagement/progress, and administrative tasks including maintenance of regulatory documents. This is a hybrid position. The student will mostly work remotely but may occasionally work on-site to assist with in-person research activities and program coordination.
