About The Position

Valley Children's Marketing & Communications Strategic Plan aligns with our vision to provide the nation's best healthcare and become the premier children's hospital. Our marketing efforts focus on enhancing the organization’s reputation, supporting growth plans, and promoting key clinical programs and the expertise of our staff. In public relations, we proactively develop stories for traditional and non-traditional media at local, state, national, and international levels. All media inquiries regarding patients or any affiliation with Valley Children's must be coordinated through the Marketing & Communications Department, with media personnel escorted on-site. Internally, we keep staff, physicians, and volunteers informed through daily communications on various topics. Our communication tools and messaging are vital to achieving Valley Children's strategic objectives. We manage the content and design of the network's internet, publications, advertisements, and collateral materials, ensuring a consistent and professional image. By collaborating with all departments, we develop accurate, persuasive materials that drive engagement and support our mission. Job Summary: Provide a unique opportunity to interface and contribute to the development of hospital initiatives in various departments. Specific focus to special projects in assigned area. There is no hands on patient care. Under close supervision, perform entry level professional duties providing the opportunity for professional training in various departments within the hospital. Perform assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for successful performance. May perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental special projects or reports, assist in preparing written reports; filling; accompany professional level employees on assignment. Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the Hospital's organizational structure and services. Utilize Hospital and or department specific software to complete assignments. Specific activities vary by assignment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)
  • Current enrollment at Fresno State in undergraduate or graduate level degree program
  • Completed at least one semester of classes with a minimum 3.0 GPA (required)
