Requirements

Enrolled in BSEE Degree Program at an ABET accredited University
Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering
GPA 3.0 or higher
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems related to for a variety of building and site infrastructure projects.
Understanding engineering drawings and specifications
Performing and checking engineering calculations
Coordinating information with vendors
Performing field site visits
Back checking drawings
Gaining familiarity with computer software
General clerk duties
Responsible for specific design tasks under the supervision of an experienced engineer
Electrical system modeling
Lighting and power calculations
Electrical lighting and power plans
Panelboard and equipment schedules
Equipment wiring drawings and schematics
Working independently on assigned tasks
Seeking out experienced engineers for answering questions
