Stanley Consultants is currently looking for an Electrical Student Intern for the Muscatine, IA office.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in BSEE Degree Program at an ABET accredited University
  • Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering
  • GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems related to for a variety of building and site infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding engineering drawings and specifications
  • Performing and checking engineering calculations
  • Coordinating information with vendors
  • Performing field site visits
  • Back checking drawings
  • Gaining familiarity with computer software
  • General clerk duties
  • Responsible for specific design tasks under the supervision of an experienced engineer
  • Electrical system modeling
  • Lighting and power calculations
  • Electrical lighting and power plans
  • Panelboard and equipment schedules
  • Equipment wiring drawings and schematics
  • Working independently on assigned tasks
  • Seeking out experienced engineers for answering questions
