About The Position
Franciscan Health Crown Point is seeking a Student Imaging professional to assist Imaging Technologists with procedures. This role involves explaining procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure comfort, obtaining and recording patient information, restocking supplies, answering phone calls, performing cleaning duties with proper infection prevention techniques, and performing venipuncture using universal precautions. This position requires travel up to 20%.
Requirements
- Enrolled in program
- Enrolled in radiologic technologist training
- 1 year Patient Care
Responsibilities
- Assist Imaging Technologists, as requested, throughout the procedure.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety, ensure safety and comfort, and obtain cooperation.
- Obtain and record patient information.
- Restock work area with appropriate supplies.
- Answer phone calls, and provide appropriate information or transfers to appropriate team member.
- Perform cleaning duties using proper infection prevention techniques.
- Perform venipuncture using universal precautions.
