About The Position

This position assists Radiologic Technologists in performing imaging procedures. The role involves patient care, including explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and ensure comfort, obtaining and recording patient information, and positioning patients and equipment for optimal views. The Student Imaging Nuclear Med also cleans and maintains the examination area and equipment.

Responsibilities

Assists Radiologic Technologists, as requested, throughout the procedure.
Cleans and maintains examination table, equipment and work area.
Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety, ensure safety and comfort, and obtain cooperation.
Obtains and records patient information.
Positions patient on examining table; sets up and adjusts equipment to obtain an optimum view of specific body area as requested by the physician.
Positions x-ray equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance.
