Meritus Commons is a housing complex for students of Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine and is adjacent to the Meritus Health Campus. The Student Housing Representative is responsible for the evening operations of this apartment community. Provides support to students and residents of the Meritus Commons in matters such as, access to common areas, lockout assistance, onsite escalation to facilities of building concerns such as electricity, heating/cooling system, etc. At all times, maintain professional boundaries, treating the residents only as our valued customers in a landlord/tenant relationship. Provide grounds rounding to ensure a secure perimeter and escalate appropriately to Meritus Security and/or local law enforcement of disturbances or safety concerns. Ensure delivery of exceptional customer service by promoting accessibility, responsiveness, and professionalism among housing and student staff. Support administrative and student service operations such as package management, building access systems, and common space reservations. Collaborate with the Program Manager and Student Housing Coordinator to address resident needs and coordinate community maintenance and improvement projects. Assist with move-out, turn, and move-in operations. Assist with administrative/clerical functions of the leasing department such as lease inquiries, after hours tours, responding to emails and answering the main phone line for the community. Comprehensively understand and enforce student housing policies to all residents and guests so that the Meritus Commons is the most optimal living space for all MSOM students who reside there.
