About The Position

The Student Housing Manager oversees all aspects of student housing operations for both the Hillsboro and Redmond campuses. This role provides direct supervision to Housing Supervisors and part-time housing staff, ensures consistent and aligned housing processes between campuses, and manages all leasing, utilities, billing, reporting, and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate has experience in property management, strong operational leadership skills, and a commitment to exceptional student service. Work Environment This position supports both Hillsboro and Redmond campuses and may require occasional travel between locations. Some evening or weekend hours may be required during peak housing periods (move-ins, move-outs, emergencies).

Requirements

  • Experience in property management, housing operations, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and administrative management skills.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and supervise staff across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Proficiency with housing management software or comparable administrative systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in student housing or higher‑education environments.
  • Budget management experience, including forecasting and reporting.
  • Familiarity with lease agreements, vendor coordination, or facilities‑related oversight

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management to Housing Supervisors and part-time housing staff.
  • Ensure adequate staffing coverage and effective workload distribution across both campuses.
  • Support professional development and foster a positive, student-centered team culture.
  • Oversee all student housing processes for both Hillsboro and Redmond campuses, ensuring consistency and alignment.
  • Manage software systems used for housing assignments, occupancy tracking, communication, billing, and reporting.
  • Evaluate housing inventory needs and determine when to add or remove apartments to ensure financial sustainability and alignment with student demand.
  • Develop, oversee, and manage the housing budget for both campuses.
  • Review, track, and approve monthly housing billing for accuracy and timely processing.
  • Oversee budget-related reporting and ensure compliance with internal financial policies.
  • Monitor utility usage, address overages, and manage payment workflows.
  • Manage property leases, including annual renewals, negotiations, and ensuring compliance with institutional standards.
  • Maintain relationships with property managers, landlords, and storage unit facility managers.
  • Track internet service agreements, renewal periods, and ensure reliable service for student housing units.
  • Ensure timely and clear communication with students regarding housing processes, policies, and expectations.
  • Support conflict resolution and address housing-related issues in partnership with Student Services.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with institutional and legal requirements.
