About The Position

AeroGuard Flight Training Center, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a Student Housing Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation of AeroGuard's Arizona student housing program. This position reports directly to the Housing Manager and serves as an operational extension of the Housing Manager by assisting with apartment preparation, inspections, furniture setup, inventory organization, apartment readiness, and other hands-on housing tasks. The Student Housing Coordinator supports the Housing Manager by completing assigned operational duties and helping ensure apartments are safe, organized, functional, and move-in ready. The goal of this position is to support incoming and current students and oversee all aspects of Student Accommodation.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Six months of related experience preferred.
Housing/Property Management
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Vehicle operation such as company van, or truck, may be required.
Will be working both onsite at Deer Valley Airport in an office setting, as well as at student housing facilities.
May have limited exposure to aircraft, simulators and equipment.
May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional heavy lifting may be required.

Responsibilities

Organize and maintain inventory of student housing furniture, household supplies, appliances, and AeroGuard-owned equipment within apartments and storage areas.
Set up apartment units for incoming students by delivering, assembling, arranging, and moving furniture, mattresses, appliances, and household supplies into place.
Assist with apartment turnovers by preparing units for new student occupancy.
Transport furniture, supplies, appliances, and inventory between apartments and storage facilities as operational needs require.
Prepare apartments for scheduled move-ins by ensuring furniture, supplies, appliances, bedding, and required AeroGuard items are in place.
Report apartment readiness to the Housing Manager for final verification and approval prior to occupancy.
Organize and maintain storage units to ensure housing supplies, furniture, and equipment are properly stored, inventoried, and readily accessible.
Report inventory shortages or damaged items to the Housing Manager.
Conduct monthly apartment inspections, document apartment conditions, identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and inventory concerns, and report findings to the Housing Manager for review and follow-up.
Assist the Housing Manager with follow-up inspections to verify that previously identified deficiencies have been corrected.
Document maintenance, cleanliness, inventory, or safety deficiencies and report findings to the Housing Manager.
Assist with preparing apartments for incoming residents by identifying cleaning, maintenance, furniture, or inventory needs.
Inspect completed maintenance requests or follow up with residents to confirm whether the reported issue has been resolved, and report the status to the Housing Manager for review and further follow-up as needed.
Assist the Housing Manager with apartment setups, furniture placement, apartment turnovers, and move-in preparation to ensure units are ready for incoming students.
Complete daily operational assignments as directed by the Housing Manager in support of Arizona housing operations.
Move, assemble, disassemble, and arrange AeroGuard-owned furniture, mattresses, appliances, and household items to prepare apartments for student occupancy.
Perform minor repairs to AeroGuard-owned furniture, household supplies, and housing equipment, including tightening hardware, replacing damaged components, and ensuring items are safe and functional.
Complete apartment readiness tasks for new and turnover units, including replacing HVAC vent covers, installing or replacing smoke detector batteries (when permitted), completing interior paint touch-ups, tightening loose hardware on AeroGuard furniture, and completing other minor punch-list items necessary to prepare apartments for occupancy.
Assist with maintenance items the apartment community is unable or unwilling to complete when appropriate.
Identify maintenance, safety, cleaning, inventory, or apartment readiness concerns and promptly report them to the Housing Manager.
Assist with maintaining inventories of furniture, household supplies, appliances, and AeroGuard-owned equipment.
Monitor inventory levels and notify the Housing Manager when supplies or replacement items need to be ordered.
Organize and maintain storage units to ensure inventory and housing supplies remain clean, accessible, and properly stored.
Assist with apartment setups, furniture deliveries, inventory replacement, and storage organization.
Provide day-to-day operational support for Arizona housing communities and perform other housing-related projects assigned by the Housing Manager.
Assist students during move-in preparation by ensuring apartments are fully furnished and equipped prior to occupancy.
Provide professional, courteous customer service while interacting with students, apartment staff, and coworkers.
Answer general housing-related questions and refer administrative or policy concerns to the Housing Manager.
Assist with apartment access during scheduled inspections and maintenance visits as directed by the Housing Manager.
Support and participate in the organization's Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with Quality Policies and Procedures and meeting Quality Objectives.
