About The Position

The Student Graphic Designer for ASU Enterprise Partners is a flexible, imaginative, dynamic, problem-solver who creates innovative, integrated and outside-the-box visual solutions for all electronic and traditional marketing channels. Working closely with the Creative team and embracing the atmosphere of a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, the Student Graphic Designer will design and produce print-based materials, digital graphics and user-centric web materials that support and enhance the university brand, follow university and foundation style guidelines, and support marketing goals to drive resource-raising initiatives to directly benefit Arizona State University. The Student Graphic Designer reports to the Art Director and contributes to solutions in a fun, rewarding and challenging team environment. The student is expected to work 15 – 20 hours per week, with additional availability during the breaks.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners and University business and confidential prospect information
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties
  • Highly organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Working knowledge of the PC computer platform
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud applications including; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro DC
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications to include; Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to modify existing files (copy edits, photo modifications and resizing)
  • A student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at Arizona State University
  • Must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of creative print layout and digital designs using various Adobe programs
  • Builds presentation materials, comps and mock-ups
  • Selects compelling photography to support fundraising goals for digital and print materials
  • Develops conceptual ideas as guided by client input, team direction and project objectives and purposes
  • Develops and produces concept boards, mock-ups and electronic files
  • Articulates ideas in the form of sketches, print-based design comps and project mock-ups
  • Maintains accurate records and uploads/downloads archived files into servers and digital asset management systems
  • Accepts and interprets client input, feedback and mark-ups
  • Assists design and department staff as required
  • Researches, gathers, photographs, illustrates, typesets, and produces visual content for projects as needed
  • Works as part of team, creatively and independently
  • An ambassador of the ASU Brand
