About The Position
The primary functions of this role include preparing grading keys for homework sets, and grading homework, quizzes, exams, and assignments according to the instructor's guidelines. The student grader is responsible for completing assigned grading in a timely manner and maintaining records of all student scores. Detailed instructions for grading protocols will be provided by the instructor for each assignment. The role may also involve providing comments on outstanding work or identifying potential plagiarism, and supplying completed reviews to the instructor promptly. Communication with the instructor, either in person or electronically, may be necessary to discuss the grading process and its outcomes. All job-related activities must be kept confidential.
Requirements
- Knowledge and appreciation of MATH and Statistics.
Responsibilities
- Prepare keys for all homework sets.
- Grade homework, quizzes, exams, and assignments following the instructor’s guidelines.
- Complete assigned grading in a timely manner.
- Maintain records of all student scores.
- Provide detailed instructions for the protocol to be followed in assessing the assignment.
- Include additional comments on outstanding work or hints on possible plagiarism when applicable.
- Supply completed reviews to the instructor in a timely manner.
- Communicate with the instructor, in person or electronically, to discuss the grading process and its outcomes.
- Keep all job-related activities confidential.
