This position reports to the President and Vice President, with additional duties assigned by the SGA Financial Specialist. The role involves chairing various allocation committees, recruiting and training committee members, and co-chairing the Differential Tuition Steering Committee. The Budget Director is responsible for implementing and enforcing Student Government Association fiscal policy, overseeing all funded accounts, and training student organization treasurers on the budget process. The role also includes providing educational sessions on segregated fees, training and supervising the SGA Associate Budget Director, and serving as the comptroller for segregated fees in conjunction with the SGA Financial Specialist. Additionally, the position acts as an interpreter of financial decisions made by the SGA Senate and President, fosters relationships with the Division of Business Affairs and Division of Student Affairs, and manages the budget office. The role requires attending SGA Senate and Executive Staff meetings, serving a minimum of 12 hours per week in the SGA Office or related work meetings, and documenting transitional material including semester accomplishments and helpful tips for the next person in the role. This documentation must be typed, emailed, and stored appropriately, and include an updated contact list. Other duties may be assigned.
