About The Position

Requirements
- Enrolled student at Auburn University.
- Valid driver's license, passing the Auburn University campus safety course, and experience with 4x4 truck driving
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a team
- Comfortable working outdoors under sunlight and around field equipment
Nice To Haves
- Interested in earth systems science, and a sophomore or senior level is preferred
Responsibilities
- Travel to the Three Rivers Solid Waste Landfill site in South Carolina
- Conduct routine site visits, typically about once per month or as needed
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of sensors/scientific instruments
- Inspect system performance and report issues to the research team
- Download field data, maintain field notes and visit records
