Work Study – Student Facilities Technician, College of Natural Sciences
About The Position
The Physics Department is seeking a reliable, hands-on Work-Study student to help prepare and maintain instructional lab spaces. Primary responsibilities include assembling and setting up physics lab experiments each Friday (Friday availability preferred), assisting students and TAs at the service window, and helping with general equipment management. Tasks may involve lifting up to 50 lbs, building or assembling furniture, moving and organizing lab materials, and occasional basic physical work to keep the space running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Assemble and set up physics lab experiments each Friday
- Provide customer service at the lab window, assisting students and TAs
- Move, organize, and maintain lab equipment and supplies
- Assist with furniture assembly and general workspace upkeep
- Perform occasional grunt work as needed to support lab operations
