About The Position
This role involves helping to maintain a clean, safe, and beautiful campus environment. Responsibilities include grounds maintenance tasks such as collecting trash, mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, watering, and mulching. The position also supports campus events by setting up and tearing down equipment, assists with athletic field preparation and maintenance, and performs general labor duties like moving furniture and equipment. Training will be provided, and no previous experience is required.
Requirements
- Must be a current Wheaton College student.
- Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work involving bending, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Nice To Haves
- No previous experience required—training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and beautiful campus by collecting trash, mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, watering, mulching, and performing general landscaping tasks.
- Set up and tear down tables, chairs, furniture, tents, and equipment for campus events, athletic competitions, and special events.
- Assist with preparing, maintaining, and restoring athletic fields and facilities before and after practices and events.
- Move furniture and equipment, support seasonal grounds maintenance projects, and assist Facilities staff with other duties as assigned.
