About The Position

ATI Huntsville is seeking a Student Engineer to support the Quality Department at its manufacturing operations. The position provides an opportunity to develop quality engineering and administrative skills in a material manufacturing environment. The student will support quality, safety, production, compliance, calibration, document control, contract review, planning, testing, and problem-solving activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Engineering students are preferred, and a high school diploma is required. Applicants must be able to use copying and scanning equipment, demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office document creation and editing, and communicate effectively. • Minimum high school diploma.
• Ability to use copying and scanning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain quality data and records, including QSTOP and Datapack Archive.
• Participate in daily quality and safety improvement activities, including Safety Card and QSTOP Card activities.
• Support reviews of production manufacturing process instructions (Traveler).
• Support external and internal quality compliance audits.
• Support calibration of inspection equipment and CMM operations.
• Support management of the document control system.
• Support contract reviews and customer and industry specification reviews, including Contract Review and SO Review.
• Support manufacturing quality planning, including Quality Plans.
• Support material quality test sample tracking and test report reviews.
• Enter material certification data (Cert).
• Participate in problem-solving activities (PSR).
• Perform other quality engineering and administrative tasks assigned by the supervisor.
