About The Position

US Synthetic has an immediate need for a Bearings Student Engineer located in Orem, UT. The Bearings Student Engineer will assist Process Engineer/Specialist with all aspects of assigned process and related machines. Perform audits and trainings and use Lean methods to promote continuous improvement.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED is required

Must have been accepted to a bachelor’s engineering program at a university with intent to graduate

Responsibilities

Assist Engineer/Specialist with all aspects of assigned process and related machines
Troubleshooting
Assist production operators with machine malfunctions; assist maintenance when needed
Assist production floor with quality improvements
Own and be a part of PDCAs for the process
Learn and apply Six Sigma principles
Create, audit and maintain standard works operators to use for training on process, i.e. Critical Knowledge and Job Breakdown Sheets
Run and train others in process meetings
Work a flexible schedule based around school schedule
Follow all company policies (Attendance, No Tobacco Products on Campus, Illegal Drug & Alcohol, Family Medical Leave Act, Personal Appearance, Personal Electronic Devices, Vacation & Personal Time, etc.)
