About The Position

The Student Employee is responsible for performing hands-on experiments under the supervision of a research mentor, including preparation of reagents and samples, execution of established protocols, and accurate recording of results in a laboratory notebook. Requirements

• The candidate must be a high school student.
• Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine lab maintenance tasks such as equipment upkeep, inventory management, and organization of shared lab spaces.
• Contribute to the preparation and revision of scientific manuscripts and standard operating procedures (SOPs), including literature review, data organization, and editing support.
• Assist in documenting experimental methods and results in a clear, reproducible format consistent with lab and institutional standards.
• Attend lab meetings, departmental seminars, and research presentations.
• Engage with the broader scientific community through participation in program events and networking opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
