About The Position
This position is for a Student Employee in Precision Machining. The role involves assisting in the lab and classroom, with a workweek of up to 20 hours. The schedule will vary based on the student's availability. Essential functions include cleaning the lab and classroom, preparing materials for labs (which may involve equipment operation), basic equipment maintenance and organization, assisting faculty with lab support, assembling training aids, and testing student exercises.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background Check
- Completion of New Employee Training
- Must be currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above (if first semester student, GPA requirement is waived)
- If student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to push or lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand up to 4 hours
Responsibilities
- Clean the lab and classroom
