About The Position

The City of Shakopee employs student election judges on a temporary basis to help administer elections. Student Election judges perform various functions to ensure the voting process runs smoothly on Election Day. Examples of these functions are greeting voters, helping voters to register, checking in voters, and many other tasks. While student judges cannot perform all functions of an election judge, they can perform many tasks and are a great help to polling locations. Student judges will work from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on election day. Once they complete a city led election training, they will be assigned a polling location that they will work at on election day. Our upcoming General Election on November 3, 2026.
