About The Position

Cardinal Health Canada is seeking positive and team-oriented individuals to join their Gananoque manufacturing center for a 3-month student contract. The role involves supporting the production department, specifically on the ECG team, where the individual will visually inspect and package electrodes for medical facilities worldwide. The position requires adherence to quality and productivity standards. Cardinal Health Canada is a significant player in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products and manufacturing life-impacting medical devices. The Gananoque facility has over 250 employees and a deep understanding of medical device manufacturing.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Comfortable with lifting up to 10 lbs
Comfortable with repetitive motion
Detail-oriented with a focus on high accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in both sitting and standing positions
Ability to work in a team environment with clear communication and quality control
Ability to work in a 24/7 environment
General knowledge of an industrial/manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Visual inspection and packaging of medical disposable electrodes
Set up work cell and replenish with proper materials as required
Perform manual process steps including visual inspection and packaging
Ensure all safety and quality requirements are followed
Ensure line clearances are completed accurately
Ensure proper coding of product
Ensure proper use of correct materials
Clean and maintain work cell by following 5S standards to improve operational efficiency
Perform in-process quality assurance tests
Sample product as defined for the process
Document checks on DHR as defined in work instructions and quality system
Notify Lead Hand, Supervisor, or Quality Assurance of non-conformances
