About The Position

This position is for an active student to join the dietary team and provide excellent food service for patients, employees, and staff. The role involves preparing and assembling patient meal trays, transporting food carts, managing waste, and cleaning dishes, pots, and pans according to department policies and sanitation procedures. The student will also be responsible for utilizing proper body mechanics to prevent injuries and contributing to the best possible room service experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least sixteen years of age.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand written and oral communication.

Nice To Haves

• Some experience desirable but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepares assembly line station for patient supper tray service in a timely manner.
• Assembles food items for supper patient tray service according to marked menus.
• Transports supper food carts to and from designated areas on patient floors in a safe and timely manner.
• Collects all garbage in Dietary and Cafeteria areas and transports to compactor/incinerator in a timely manner.
• Scrapes and washes all dishware from patient trays and employee cafeteria according to department sanitation procedures.
• Scrubs and sanitizes all pots and pans and organizes in designated area.
• Utilizes proper body mechanics to prevent injuries.
• Provide the best room service has to offer.
