Requirements

  • Pursuing a university degree in Computer Science, Business with a technical proficiency or a related technical program, ideally in your third or fourth year of study.
  • Keen interest and understanding of web development and APIs.
  • Strong grasp of Internet programming languages, including Java, .Net, Angular, HTML/HTML5 technologies, and CSS libraries.
  • Must be in a registered co-op program to be considered for this opportunity.
  • Must be available on a full-time basis for the entire duration of the co-op term.
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Groovy, Perl, Linux/Unix shell, and SQL/Oracle databases would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and ServiceNow would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in application support and coding activities while gaining insights into Fidelity's business models and applications.
  • Undertake ad hoc programming tasks to support our Development Team.
  • Collaborate with team members in the design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of features and functions within our applications and APIs, ensuring adherence to Fidelity's standards and practices.
  • Participate on documentation initiative to create, enhance and organize supported applications documentation.
  • Evaluate and implement best practices that could be advantageous for the team and our organization.
