AY Student Community Engagement Facilitator (WS-ST2)
About The Position
The Music Project Student Assistant will facilitate communication between St. Olaf students involved in musical community engagement initiatives and the community partners they are working with. This role focuses on building relationships within and outside the St. Olaf community, clearly exchanging information, and working with campus and community partners to build the Music Mentor and Community School program for the benefit of Oles and area students. The position also involves working towards organizational goals, understanding different working environments, and acting in the interest of the project's goals, while building relationships both on and off campus.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Facility with Google Suite
- Community engagement experience

- Intermediate Spanish-language skills
Responsibilities
- Recruit participants and organize training for the Music Mentor Program
- Meet with Community School site coordinators
- Pair St. Olaf students with interested musical elementary students
- Organize transportation of Oles
- Schedule events
- Communicate between student volunteers and the Music Department
- Liaise with Svoboda Center Assistant Director for Student Civic Leadership
- Engage with student service orgs to support the building of cross-campus service-oriented networks
