About The Position

UCF Online Connect Center: The UCF Online Connect Center team works with students as advocates and guides throughout their fully online academic experience at UCF. Success coaches are available to help our students locate resources and create effective strategies to ensure success. The Opportunity : The University of Central Florida's (UCF) Online Connect Center is searching for a Student Coach II. The Student Coach II is a professional position that provides an enhanced level of coaching support to prospective and current UCF Online students. The Student Coach II will deliver support for students at all program levels and will be knowledgeable in all aspects of the student experience to include recruitment, enrollment, coaching, student services, and retention. Working collaboratively with teams of professionals and with academic program partners, the Student Coach II will use enhanced coaching methodologies to develop ongoing coaching relationships with prospective and current UCF students to provide early integration, ongoing support, degree progression, and goal completion. This is an Auxiliary (AUX) funded position. Employment is subject to the availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6) .

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience working at an institution of higher education.
  • Experience as a Student coach.
  • Previous Salesforce experience or a similar CRM system.
  • Familiarity with case management models and early-alert systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems through critical thinking; makes well-reasoned and timely decisions.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, as well as handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Proactive attributes, take initiative to get things done without prompting.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate student needs or university events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching to prospective, transitioning, and currently enrolled students.
  • Demonstrate ability to use enhanced coaching techniques and methodologies to successfully advance the students.
  • Develop and implement highly proactive outreach services to current students focused on retention and success.
  • Serve as Coach Liaison to academic program partners, committees, and leadership.
  • Interact regularly with university partners, colleges, departments, and faculty.
  • Ensure timely turnaround of services, meeting established unit benchmarks, customer service standards, and key performance indicators, while adhering to daily productivity metrics.
  • Report to the Directors of the UCF Online Connect Center team.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
