About The Position
This is a State Certified Nurse Aide Training Program offered by NHC Healthcare Greenwood. The program is a fast-paced, 3-week course. The first two weeks focus on lecture and book work, while the third week transitions to a clinical learning environment with hands-on patient care. The next class starts October 12, 2026. Upon successful completion, the best qualified candidates will be chosen for employment based on facility need, shift demand, entrance exam score, previous work history, and overall attitude.
Requirements
- Completed Application
- Valid Photo Identification
- Social Security Card
- Proof of High School Diploma or GED
- No felony convictions, certain misdemeanor charges, or findings on the abuse registry.
- Ability to purchase books and supplies ($40 cash deposit, refundable upon graduation).
- One set of dark grey scrubs.
- One wrist-watch with a second hand.
Responsibilities
- Attend all lectures and complete book work.
- Participate in clinical learning environment with hands-on patient care.
- Maintain a grade average of 85 to continue in the course.
- Adhere to a strict attendance policy with no absences or tardiness permitted.
