About The Position

Student Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides the most basic care under the direction of registered nursing staff. Assisting with activities of daily living and providing exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- Must be a current high school student enrolled in vocational or CO-OP program
- Written and verbal English skills at 12th grade level.
- Ability to perform statistical analysis
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
Responsibilities
- Admission/Transfer/Discharge Functions. Ready patient rooms, greet and escort patient to their room, inventory possessions, assist with packing personal possessions.
- Food Service Functions. Prepare patients for meals, serve food trays and snacks, record food/fluid intake, keep water pitchers filled, assist with after meal care.
- Personnel Functions. Perform all tasks in accordance with policies/procedures, report all complaints/grievances made by the patient.
- Personal Nursing Care Functions. Assist/provide patients with oral hygiene, bath functions, dressing/undressing, bowel/bladder functions, transporting, vital signs.
- Provide all functions as delegated by Registered Nursing Staff.
- Ensure patient room is ready for expected admission, i.e., name tags, admission kit, etc.
