Student Camera Operator
About The Position
Dodge College seeks student Camera Operators to support occasional Master Classes, live panels, and other college programming. Applicants must have prior experience operating digital video cameras in live-event or broadcast settings, such as sports, concerts, conferences, lectures, panel discussions. Candidates should be comfortable with basic camera operation—including focus, exposure, white balance, framing, media, and battery management—and able to take direction, work calmly during live events, and maintain a professional presence. Schedule varies and may include occasional daytime, evening, or weekend shifts.
Requirements
- Prior experience operating digital video cameras in live-event or broadcast settings
- Comfortable with basic camera operation—including focus, exposure, white balance, framing, media, and battery management
- Able to take direction, work calmly during live events, and maintain a professional presence
- Experience filming in live events (sports, concerts, panels)
- Knowledge of digital cameras and post-production workflow
- Knowledge of Dodge’s Goldroom procedures
