About The Position

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time Student Behavioral Coach to add to our team of professionals. This position will work on our School-Based Services team in the Child & Family Services Division. Student Behavioral Coaches provide school and community-based case management, skills training/development, and other services to children and their families throughout our assigned counties in southwestern Indiana, including Vanderburgh, Posey, Gibson, and Warrick. This is a 10-month position aligned with the school calendar (August 1 – May 31). Employees remain in their role and are expected to return for the next school year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice or other closely related field.
  • Interest and ability to work with children with serious emotional problems and work well in a team setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance that meets the Indiana State minimum coverage requirement, and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
  • Pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous direct services with children or related experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide school and community-based case management, skills training/development, and other services to children and their families.
  • Work with children and their families referred from the school as well as the Department of Child Services, Juvenile Probation, System of Care, Southwestern assessment team and therapists, and other referral sources.
  • Maintain appropriate records of services to reflect patient progress and document treatment plans and goals.
  • Maintain documentation and submit reports according to established time frames.
  • Communicate professionally, make referrals and coordinate services with community agencies.
