About The Position

Join our team as a Student Athlete Dining Cook and play an essential role in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to student-athletes. You’ll prepare meals that meet the highest culinary standards while adhering to federal, state, and corporate regulations. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where quality food and service are key! Anticipated start date in July.

Requirements

Previous culinary experience is required, with a strong understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Must have or be willing to complete ServSafe Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Safety Certification.
A team player with a positive attitude, ready to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Ability to lift and move 50 lbs of kitchen supplies or food items.
Ability to work well with others, creating a positive, supportive environment for all staff and team members.

Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and production schedules to meet delivery and service timelines.
Serve meals or prepare items for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, proper temperatures, and that food is visually appealing and delicious.
Clean kitchen areas after meal preparation and service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Store or discard any excess food following safe food-handling procedures.
Keep refrigerators, storerooms, and kitchen spaces clean and well-organized. Ensure food and supplies are stored properly to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and according to instructions. Report any maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
Attend in-service and safety meetings to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Work closely with coworkers, administrators, and managers to ensure smooth operations and the consistent delivery of quality meals.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the dining services.
