About The Position

This is a Workstudy position for students attending UT Austin. A workstudy Fall 2026 award letter must be attached along with the other required materials to be considered. This position is in-person. Spring 2027 employment may be considered with performance and Spring 2027 workstudy secured. The purpose of this role is to support the Department of Asian Studies faculty and staff.

Requirements

Be awarded Federal Work-Study on Work-Study Verification (WSV)
Meet satisfactory academic progress standards as set by the Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid
Must be enrolled in appropriate credit hours as required by the student's academic or non-academic title. Additional rules may apply in cases where stricter enrollment is required for Work-Study funds.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of administrative experience

Responsibilities

Copy and/or scan various office documents and check for accuracy
Monitor office supplies inventory management; communicate with supervisor when supplies need to be re-ordered
Assist in activities, events, and special projects in the department. Participate in processes and activies designed to establish an organizational culture
Assist with website(s) and social media management. Work in Canva to develop event promotional materials
Front desk email and phone coverage
Other duties as assigned
