Student Assistant Intern – Service & Support (Deposit Operations & Card Services) Winston-Salem, NC Reports To: SVP of Service & Support DESCRIPTION Role Accountability: At Allegacy, there’s a common thread that runs through all of us—our commitment to doing right and our promise to always act in the best interest of our members. Within Service & Support, that commitment shows up in how we ensure accurate, efficient processing and provide reliable support for deposit and card-related services that members depend on every day. This internship plays a hands-on role in supporting that mission—helping maintain operational accuracy, enhance service delivery, and contribute to a seamless and positive member experience. Nature and Scope This is a part-time summer internship for college students, working up to 20 hours per week based on business needs. Interns will gain exposure to the fundamentals of deposit operations and card services within a financial services environment—including transaction processing, account maintenance, card servicing, and operational support. They’ll work alongside experienced professionals and gain visibility into how Service & Support functions help ensure smooth, accurate, and timely member transactions. This internship is designed to build foundational knowledge of banking operations while also developing professional skills such as attention to detail, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. Interns will also gain insight into how these functions partner with other departments to support a consistent and reliable member experience.

Requirements

  • This role is best suited for students with an interest in business, finance, operations, or related fields, particularly within a financial services environment.
  • Interns will need to comply with work authorization requirements.

  • Assist with deposit operations and card services processes, including research and issue resolution
  • Support account maintenance, transaction processing, and operational workflows

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and effective resolution of member-related requests
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the highest level of integrity
