About The Position

The Earth Observing Laboratory (EOL) is seeking a student assistant to provide clerical and administrative assistance to the EOL Director’s office. This part-time employee will interact with a wide variety of staff while supporting all of the administrative functions of the EOL Directorate as requested.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in college, university or professional school.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) in a networked environment.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to multitask, switch priorities, be flexible, and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work 10-15 hours per week on a set schedule and more during school breaks.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Willingness to ask questions and seek clarification.
  • Ability to follow moderately complex procedures/practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general office support including record-keeping, photocopying, archiving, scheduling appointments and meeting rooms, preparing administrative forms and documents, arranging and reconciling official travel, sorting and distributing mail.
  • Provide support of all of the administrative functions of the EOL Directorate as requested.
