About The Position

This position is open to all University of Florida degree-seeking students registered at least half-time who are eligible to work on campus and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. A current Federal Work Study award is required. The main duties will involve hands-on laboratory work in assisting other lab members perform vital laboratory procedures such as genotyping by polymerase chain reaction, protein detection assays (western blots and immunofluorescence), histology, and microscopy. Additionally, the student will be essential to the lab's organization and operations, including assisting with maintaining clean and organized lab areas, managing ordering and supply inventories, maintaining the mouse colony, and updating spreadsheets and other lab documents.
