About The Position

Institute of Black Intellectual Innovation (IBII) at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) is a cross-campus and community-minded initiative to expose all students to Black culture, creative arts, and intellectual history at CSUF and throughout Orange County. Currently, we are seeking a Student Assistant with Federal Work Study to provide administrative support for IBII. The Student Assistant plays a vital role in promoting the mission of CSUF and IBII throughout Orange County. Under general supervision, the SA will support staff with administrative support for IBII such as: answering phones, greeting visitors, scanning and uploading documents, maintaining spreadsheets, maintaining social media platforms, and maintaining IBII's website.

Requirements

Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
The Student Assistant must be an active student at CSUF with a Federal Work Study award for Fall 2025 with good academic status.
Proficiency in basic clerical skills
Basic knowledge of computers and efficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a respectful, helpful, and friendly tone
Organizational skills
Maintain a neat appearance and positive attitude
