About The Position

The Student Assistant for Engagement and Outreach plays a supportive role on the ASU Foundation (ASUF) team and works closely with the Estate and Gift Planning and Real Estate Giving team. Under general guidance, the student assistant provides administrative support, helps with project coordination, assists with prospect outreach, prospect organization, scheduling, and prospect follow-up, and contributes to the overall success of both teams. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented student interested in learning more about nonprofit work, real estate, sales and marketing, estate and gift planning, and higher education advancement. The role requires approximately 15–20 hours per week during the academic year, with additional availability during breaks.

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects.
  • Adept at navigating complex environments with evolving priorities and communication plans.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • A current student at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in a related field with a willingness to learn and ability to work well with others.
  • Student must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement.
  • Student must possess a valid driver’s license and have a driving record in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Estate and Gift Planning and Real Estate Giving team with a variety of administrative and operational tasks that contribute to the success of Engagement and Outreach donor initiatives.
  • Assists in preparing, assembling, and executing mailings and print projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provides data entry support for key databases, tracking systems, and reports to maintain organization and up to date data on donors.
  • Supports the management of donor lists, including updating records and organizing digital files.
  • Looks up prospects in Salesforce, reaches out to prospects on behalf of EGP and REG through email, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Delivers excellent customer service to donors and internal stakeholders.
  • Always maintains a professional demeanor and represents the Engagement and Outreach team with courtesy and confidentiality.
  • Utilizes Microsoft Office and other software tools to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Completes additional tasks and special projects as assigned in support of team objectives.
  • Works approximately 15–20 hours per week during regular business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.), with schedule arranged around academic commitments.
