About The Position

At the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP), we are focused on improving opportunities and outcomes for Michiganders from preschool to postsecondary. MiLEAP was created in July 2023 and is the newest department in the State of Michigan. This position serves as a student assistant in the Child Development and Care (CDC) program. The student will work with the Billing Review Team to analyze data in order to identify root causes of errors and make recommendations regarding CDC program and operational areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Must provide evidence of enrollment or acceptance to an educational institution.
• Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours per term.
• Must provide proof of enrollment at the start of each term.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing files and reports for accurate and complete documentation and accuracy of payments.
• Making collateral contacts when there is incomplete or inconsistent information.
• Identifying corrective actions needed.
• Analyzing data to identify root causes of errors.
• Making recommendations regarding CDC program and operational areas for improvement.
