About The Position
Join a research team studying soil health, forage quality, and greenhouse gas emissions in grazing systems. This role includes field and lab work, providing hands-on experience in agricultural and environmental research. Work locations: Fieldwork at various farms across Ohio (fields are located within a 1.5-hour drive from campus; transportation provided, lunch not provided). Laboratory work at campus (Kottman Hall, Columbus OH). Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process. The university is an equal opportunity employer, including veterans and disability.
Requirements
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Able to lift 40 lbs
Responsibilities
- Setting up experiments and installing equipment
- Labeling and preparing vials in the lab
- Collecting soil, forage, and greenhouse gas samples in the field
- Drying, grinding, and processing soil and forage samples
