The D11 Student Apprentice is a paid student employee who may be connected to a Career & Technical Education (CTE) program and supports students, staff, schools, and programs throughout District 11. The apprenticeship provides students with the opportunity to apply skills learned through their CTE program or other coursework while gaining real-world work experience, developing technical and employability skills, and contributing to their school and district community. Student Apprentices commit to approximately 2,000 hours of paid, on-the-job learning over two years. Apprentices may be assigned to a school, classroom, district department, or CTE program based on program needs and the student’s career pathway, interests, and skills.
