The Program Coordinator within the Student Advocacy Center provides comprehensive advocacy, case management, consultation, and referral services to students experiencing barriers to their success. Serving as a central point of support, the Program Coordinator works collaboratively with students to assess their needs, develop individualized action plans, connect them with appropriate campus and community resources, and help them navigate complex university systems, policies, and procedures. Through ongoing case management, this position empowers students to address challenges that may affect their academic progress and overall well-being, while promoting student persistence and success. The Program Coordinator also serves as a trusted resource for faculty, staff, and campus partners by providing consultation on student concerns, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and helping identify practical solutions to complex situations. In addition to direct student support, the Program Coordinator collaborates with university departments to identify emerging trends and systemic barriers affecting the student experience, contributing to improvements in institutional processes, coordinated care, and campus support services. A secondary focus of the position is coordinating the university's response to student crises, including student deaths and significant personal emergencies. working with campus partners to ensure timely and compassionate support for those impacted. The Program Coordinator exercises sound judgment, discretion, and empathy while navigating complex situations and building collaborative relationships that advance student success, the mission of the Student Advocacy Center, and Student Life.
