About The Position

Barrett, The Honors College is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Student Admissions Support Specialist to join our admissions team. The Student Admissions Support Specialist will play a vital role throughout all aspects of the Barrett application process. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about higher education and dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals.

Requirements

High School Diploma and three years (3) experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States; ASU/Barrett, The Honors College will not be a sponsor for this position.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated knowledge of Barrett, The Honors College
Experience working in an institution of higher education (honors college/program experience preferred)
Experience in customer service
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with admissions databases (PeopleSoft, Salesforce)

Responsibilities

Engage with prospective students and their families via email, phone, and in-person to provide information about the honors college and the admissions process.
Maintain accurate records of student applications and communication using the college and university’s databases and software.
Create regular reports of application activity to share with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with other departments, primarily recruiting and advising, to ensure a smooth admissions process for prospective students.
Serve on the admissions committee, evaluating submitted applications for each honors college enrollment option.
Contribute to application enhancements and process improvements through testing the online application system.
Participate in special projects with staff as directed.
