About The Position
As a Peer Advisor, you will assist students in accessing campus resources and services, encourage involvement in campus activities and organizations, connect students with academic resources, and share personal and objective experiences. You will also help students navigate cultural differences in academic, social, and professional settings and share recommendations for exploring New Orleans, including transportation, local services, city events, and hidden gems.
Requirements
- Sophomore, junior, or senior students with a global background
- Demonstrated expertise and familiarity with the areas listed above, including campus resources, campus engagement, informal academic advising, culture, and exploring New Orleans
- Strong communication skills
- Passion for supporting international students
Nice To Haves
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 is preferred but not required
