About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a B-1B Full Scale Fatigue Test - Structures Technical Analyst (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the B-1B Full Scale Fatigue Test team located in Tukwila, Washington. A successful member of this team will be responsible for managing engineering documentation related to inspections and repairs for the Bombers B-1B Full Scale Fatigue Test program. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Tukwila, Washington. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start may be required.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of related work experience
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new processes quickly
  • Advanced skills with MS office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Strong desire to work with engineering documentation
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Updates and maintains Structures engineering document libraries.
  • Supports the planning, execution, and reporting of structural test inspections and repairs.
  • Assists in gathering and inputting data for structural analysis, and structural testing.
  • Inputs and retrieves data from existing databases.
  • Assists with formatting of documentation of analyses, test article configuration records, and test data.
  • Assists in development of processes and tools to improve structural engineering.
  • Organizes and authors weekly, monthly, and annual engineering reports and test readiness reviews
  • May perform limited structural analysis for design, fleet support and structural testing.
  • Gathers data to draft documentation of analyses (level 3).
  • May create simple structural math models (level 3).
