About The Position

This role is responsible for the proper and timely completion of tasks in accordance with the Repair Station's approved ratings and policies. The Structures Mechanic will ensure all paperwork and entries into the electronic maintenance software are completed accurately. They will also provide information for shift turnovers, notify inspection personnel when tasks require inspection or RII action, and segregate and identify removed components. The mechanic must maintain an adequate set of tools, ensure all tooling is accounted for and returned properly, and perform assigned tasks according to approved documents. Additionally, they must understand and apply relevant manual sections, perform assigned duties, and ensure a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Possess and maintain an adequate number and quantity of tools necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  • Ensure all tooling is accounted for and returned to the proper location at shift’s end.
  • Performance of assigned tasks in accordance with job cards, engineering orders, maintenance manuals, and other approved documents without deviation unless authorized in writing.
  • Understanding and applying the chapters and sections of this manual that applies to his or her position.
  • Ensure a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Proper and timely completion of tasks in accordance with the Repair Station's approved ratings and policies.
  • Proper completion of all paperwork or entries into the electronic maintenance software program.
  • Providing information to the Maintenance Lead for shift turnovers and entering information on the NS-MF-22 form in the absence of the Maintenance Lead.
  • Notifying Inspection personnel when a task requires inspection or becomes an RII action.
  • Segregating and properly identifying upon removal all repair station/customer components.
  • Possessing and maintaining an adequate number and quantity of tools necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  • Ensuring all tooling is accounted for and returned to the proper location at shift’s end.
  • Performance of assigned tasks in accordance with job cards, engineering orders, maintenance manuals, and other approved documents without deviation unless authorized in writing.
  • Understanding and applying the chapters and sections of this manual that apply to his or her position.
  • Performing additional duties as may be assigned.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment.
