Structures Design Engineer

Acciona•Atlanta, GA

About The Position

The Structural Engineer will provide construction-phase engineering support for bridge and structural work across the SR400 Express Lanes Project. The role supports review of structural submittals, temporary works, construction calculations, RFIs, constructability, and field technical issues. The engineer will work closely with the Technical Director, Designer of Record, drafting team, field engineers, superintendents, quality staff, and other project disciplines to help ensure structural work is safe, buildable, and compliant with project requirements. The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a $4.6 billion infrastructure initiative led by SR400 Constructors, a 50/50 joint venture between Flatiron Dragados and ACCIONA. Commissioned by GDOT and SRTA, it will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), and includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and bridge refurbishments. Construction is set to begin in late 2025, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.
